MEET MY GUINEA PIG SEWERS AND MATCH YOUR PROFILE

THE OPTOMISTIC SEWER

crafty

MY FRIEND NICKY REMARKED THAT SEWING THE KITS WOULD PROVE TO BE A PERSONALITY TEST.  HOW RIGHT SHE WAS! ALL MY LOVELY GUINEA PIGS MANAGED TO STAY ON TASK AND WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR EFFORTS. THEIR SEWING TIPS HAVE BEEN INCORPORATED INTO THE INSTRUCTION MANUALS.  SEE THEIR PROFILES BELOW.

All her Christmas's have come at once. Rips opens bag. Squeals with delight as she pulls each little treasure from the bag, tossing them over her shoulder. Loses the instructions but decides to go it alone as she's always been a little crafty. Experiences a few hiccups along the way. Her husband can't work out why his shirts are sticking to the ironing board.  Makes her own little adjustments to the design, but over all it's a triumph of humankind.

                                                               Thanks O

 THE CAREFUL SEWER

the good sewer

Looks at bag for a week. Opens bag and takes one thing out at a time to savour the experience. Touches and smells everything and rubs felt to her cheek to check for quality before committing. Waits until one week before the assignment is due, needing inducement of pressure to begin.  Carefully lays everything out on a spotless table, follows instructions and begins to sew. Finds instructions easy to follow but worries about not getting it exactly like the pattern.                                                             Looks perfect to me J.

THE EFFICIENT SEWER

makes her own clothes

Receives kit and diarises start and finish date. Opens kit, photo copies instructions just in case, follows instructions, emails with lots of handy hints, stays on task and completes on time. Arrives with completed kit and dressed in matching outfit. Does a better job that the Bird.                                                                     Go N!

THE STRESS RELEASE SEWER

the novice

Kits arrives. Opens and sighs with relief at finding a bespoke bundle of materials within.  Sighs. Takes kit on holiday.  Kit visits Paris, Queenstown, Noosa Sydney and Tokyo.  Kit clocks up serious air-miles.  Starts kit and needs a liittle support. Develops long term friendship with the Bird by email.  Finds sewing more tricky than saving the Great Barrier Reef.   Kit's relaxa effect starts to take effect. Gets into the zone, shoulders release and mind disengages. Sighes and marvels at her handiwork. Finishes, sighs and comes up with a 20 point plan for Birdie's global domination of the applique kit market.

                                             We'll see.....Thanks J

THE YOUNG AND BOLD

first timer

Not a bit daunted by a previous lack of sewing experience, this young 20 something sewer and student kept  in regular touch by text. Dived in and worked it out. "Hmm all my bunnies are back to front......."  10 seconds later, "Okay no perhaps they are ok! I solved it.  Clever bunny!"

                                           And so you are H!

THE MAN SEWERS

proud and loud

The first "team effort" sewers! D's Mum taught him how to sew and he's confident and competent. He only used the instructions to get the hang.  This frustrated his partner (a little), who is more of a, "follow the instructions kind of guy." However, together, even with big man hands challenged by the twisting and turning of the scissors, they got the job done.

                                                                  Thx D&R

MISS ELIZABETH BENNET

new old school

Calm, talented and reasoned, it's like my  Miss Lissie walked straight out of the pages of Pride and Prejudice!  Her lovely handiwork is at play in the Moth Orchid Cushion and she took the little birdie Free Range patches for a spin. There is  craft revolution going on in the younger generation. Never under estimate what they can do and what they will find cool!

You are a lucky man Mr Darcy
